I am 72 hours out from surgery---I made it!!! The first few days HURT! Not just "ow" kind of hurt just plain ole H-U-R-T!!!!!! Be prepared!
I had the I-Lap band. My stomach hurts from being folding and I was/am swollen. Bruised too....but this has really actually saved my life. It seems that I have a problem with my liver. Dr Bariatric took a biopsy to rule out cirrosis. I have NEVER drank alcohol in my life--I just don't understand! I do understand now why I was driven to have this done. A blessing in disguise. I am nervous. I will find out on the 23rd at my Post Op appointment.
How can this be if I have not and do not drink? I don't get it!

Wow - keep us posted. I'll say prayers.
They had to take a biopsy of liver during surgery as well...and I have never been a drinker either. Thakfully, my husband "forgot" to tell me that they did the biopsy and I didn't even know until my post op appointment when they told me the biopsy was fine. Try not to worry about it (I know that's easier said than done. Sorry the first few days were rough...I swear it gets better every day!
I had a friend that had the same thing happen to her when she had surgery. They did a biopsy bc her liver was very very bad looking. Ended up being nothing bad and she's fine now!
Prayers for you in your healing and this deal with your liver!
Glad you're starting to feel a bit better sweetie, but sorry to hear about your liver, better the devil you know as they say, so once you've got information maybe it will seem a little less scary and I'm sure there will be a solution. Thinking of you. Have lots of rest and water. xxxx
Glad you're feeling better! Hope everything is good with the liver!
